End of Term 3

Literacy- We have been learning the blends 'ch', 'th' and 'sh'. We made 'ch' chickens and wrote lots of words starting with 'ch' on them. We also made 'sh' shoes(high heels for the girls and sneakers for the boys) as well as a 'th' thumbs. Check out the blend booklets that have come home that you can practise reading the sounds.

I am so proud of every student and the progress they have made with their Writing! They are writing amazing descriptions!

Religion- We have been learning lots of Stories about Jesus this term. One of the stories was a miracle- Jesus healed a blind beggar. We created masks.
We have been learning all about the Church. We went for a special tour around our Church and learnt about lots of different parts of the church.

We matched up photos of the different parts of the church we saw with the correct names.
We were very lucky to have Deacon Malcolm come and talk to all of the Preps and share information about the different vestments and vessels (clothes) that are used in the celebration at Mass.

Week 10- We enjoyed having Kellie help in our class for the week. She was doing Work experience. She is in Year 12. She read us stories and helped us with our learning. Thank-you Kellie!

Our Autum tree. We wrote stories describing Autumn leaves.

Week 7- The students dressed in Pink and wore ribbons to school to raise money for St Vincent De Paul.

Week 6- On Thursday 21st May Miss Jackson's Mum-Jenny Jackson came to visit our school. She is a principal of a Primary school in New Zealand. We enjoyed having her in our classroom to help us! The kids thought she was a celebrity! They were very excited to meet her.

Thank-you for listening to us read!
