Maths week 1 & 2

For the first two weeks back at school our focus in Maths has been investigating patterns using a variety of materials. We have learnt that a pattern is something that repeats over and over again. In Measurement and Geometry we have been focusing on measuring Mass. We have been comparing the different weight of everyday objects using the appropriate language: heavier than, lighter than, and the same as.

Here are a few photos of the students creating patterns using blocks, shapes,peg boards, playing a pattern bingo game and completing pattern activities on the computer.
